AI Companion Toy Product & Business Development Intern
Location: New York City
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - candidates must currently be based in NYC and available for in-person meetings/work sessions as needed.
We’re looking for a motivated intern to support the growth of our AI companion toy brand, with a primary focus on sales, business development, and market expansion.
This role is ideal for someone interested in the intersection of consumer products, AI, toys, and pet companionship. You’ll help identify sales opportunities, research potential partners and channels, support outreach, and contribute to go-to-market initiatives for new companion toy products.
What You’ll Work On
- Support sales outreach and business development initiatives
- Research potential retail, wholesale, distribution, and partnership opportunities
- Assist with lead generation, sales presentations, and follow-ups
- Conduct competitor, customer, and market research
- Help identify new customer segments and product opportunities
- Collaborate with the team on product positioning, launches, and go-to-market strategy
- Provide input on AI companion toy concepts, features, and customer experience
- Support product testing and collect customer feedback when needed
- Participate in occasional in-person meetings, product reviews, and team sessions in NYC
What We’re Looking For
- Must be currently based in New York City and able to work in a hybrid environment
- Strong interest in sales, business development, entrepreneurship, or consumer products
- Comfortable communicating with potential customers, retailers, creators, or business partners
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of projects
- Strong research and communication skills
- Genuine love for animals, especially dogs, cats, or companion pets
- Interest in AI, interactive toys, robotics, or emerging consumer technology
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in toy development, product development, consumer products, or pet-related products
- Sales, retail, e-commerce, or startup experience
- Familiarity with AI-enabled or interactive products
- Experience with product testing, sourcing, manufacturing, or product launches
