Job Description
The Career Academy Coordinator supports scheduling, communication, and coordination with students, faculty, and administration regarding Career Academies in multiple EICC locations. The ideal candidate provides direct service to administrators to collect data on students who are participating and supports Concurrent Enrollment Advisors and CCTCs with information regarding guided pathways and academy opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or possess 4 years of equivalent experience, with a preference for at least two years of progressively responsible experience within an educational institution. Attention to detail, a positive demeanor, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in computer and technology applications, along with advanced English language skills-including grammar, spelling, and organizational abilities-is required. Effective communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills are critical, particularly in equity-focused initiatives. Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel for data documentation, are expected. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with the Dean and the Associate Dean of Concurrent Enrollment Students to ensure NACEP accreditation measures are being satisfied.
- Works collaboratively with the Associate Dean of Concurrent Enrollment Students along with the Marketing Department to develop and promote materials and website information.
- Regularly travel to area high schools to support and manage administrative functions in specified regions. Meet with teachers, students, counselors, principals, CCTC's, and Concurrent Enrollment Advisors to collaboratively promote Career Academies.
- Actively share information about career academies with high school students in assigned districts through classroom visits/presentations, demo days, etc.
- Maintain updated career academy information in conjunction with the Curriculum and Concurrent Enrollment department.
- Proactively gather and synthesize data reports on students served in the career academies.
- Survey students each term to gauge interest in growing various academies and improve recruitment efforts.
- Serve as a communication liaison between K12 partners and EICC administration on processes related to career academies.
- Develop, implement, and oversee the College Connections Student Ambassador (CCSA) program, including ambassador support and engagement.
- Stay current on all state and national policies regarding concurrent enrollment programming and trends.
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit underrepresented students into career academies.
- Work directly with the Concurrent Enrollment Advisors and CCTC's to inform high school students about career academy options at EICC.
- Lead outreach initiatives to inform students and families about career academies.
- Create a supportive environment for underrepresented students to explore careers.
- Collaborate with school counselors to identify and support potential students.
- Track recruitment metrics to evaluate effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
- Identify and engage students interested in career pathways during school events.
- Collaborate with Apprenticeship Program Manager to actively share up to date information with Career Academy students on continuing their education upon completion of academies.
- In conjunction with the marketing and concurrent enrollment teams, assist in the creation of promotional materials that highlight career academy opportunities that reflect diverse student experiences.
- Attend frequent trainings on state updates and processes as directed by the Dean of Curriculum and Concurrent Enrollment.
- Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
