Position Overview

Birch Agency is currently seeking a qualified Exceptional Children (EC) Resource Teacher for a school-based opportunity in Mooresville, NC. This position is ideal for an experienced special education teacher who is passionate about providing individualized instruction and helping students succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students receiving Exceptional Children services in a resource setting.




• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).




• Provide accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction based on individual student needs.




• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and records.




• Collaborate with general education teachers to support student success and ensure appropriate implementation of IEPs.




• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families, school staff, and related service providers.




• Maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Appropriate North Carolina Exceptional Children (EC) teaching license or eligibility for licensure.




• Experience providing specialized instruction in a school setting preferred.




• Experience with IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and collaboration with general education staff.




• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
