Full-Time Preschool Teacher Assistant | Recent Graduates Welcome
Nuances Daycare & Pre-K in Fairfax is looking for a full-time Teacher Assistant to work with children ages 1 year and older.
This position is a good fit for recent graduates, graduating students, or students in online/evening programs who are available for a consistent full-time weekday schedule.
Previous professional daycare experience is welcome but not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, responsible, enjoys working with young children, and is willing to learn. Paid on-the-job training is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside a Lead Teacher in the classroom
- Engage with children during play and age-appropriate activities
- Assist with meals, diapering and toileting, nap time, and daily transitions
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Follow established classroom routines and safety procedures
What we’re looking for:
- Full-time availability Monday through Friday
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Comfortable with the hands-on care of toddlers and preschool-age children
- Able to stay active throughout the workday
- Able to follow the Lead Teacher’s direction and work as part of a classroom team
- Reliable transportation to Fairfax, VA 22032
- Interested in stable, long-term employment rather than a temporary or semester-based position
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday. Our center is open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This position requires full-day availability based on the center’s staffing schedule.
