BODY CONTOURING TECH- DC based and available during Holiday Seasons and Summers
Do not call office, application instructions below:
Part-Time | Variable Schedule | In-Person
Your Sculpt Studio is a Washington, DC-based body contouring and wellness studio specializing in non-invasive face and body treatments designed to help clients look and feel their best.
We are seeking a reliable, polished, highly coachable Body Contouring Technician & Treatment Room Attendant to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys client care, wellness and aesthetics, but who also thrives in a structured, protocol-driven environment. Our treatments can be taught. What is most important is your ability to follow detailed instructions, retain training, execute consistently, communicate clearly, and maintain high standards whether working alongside management or independently.
*******
Experience: We are specifically seeking candidates with 2+ years of work experience in structured, protocol-driven environments where accuracy, safety, documentation, reliability, and following established procedures are essential. Strong-fit backgrounds include CNAs, medical assistants, dental assistants, patient care technicians, clinical support professionals, and 3rd- or 4th-year nursing students with substantial hands-on clinical experience.

Three Core Responsibilities
This role has three equally important areas of responsibility:
1. Service Delivery
Perform trained non-invasive face and body contouring treatments according to YSS protocols. Technicians are responsible for creating a warm, professional client experience while following treatment procedures accurately and consistently.
2. Treatment Room Maintenance & Readiness
Prepare treatment rooms before appointments, reset rooms between clients, sanitize equipment and surfaces, maintain linens and laundry, restock supplies, monitor inventory, and ensure the studio is fully prepared for each client.
3. Calendar, Time & Client-Flow Management
Monitor the appointment calendar, prepare for upcoming services, document client information, manage appointment-related tasks, communicate schedule changes promptly, and help ensure that appointments begin and end smoothly and on time.
This Is a Highly Protocol-Driven Position
Your Sculpt Studio has established procedures, treatment protocols, presets, checklists and operating standards that technicians are expected to follow consistently.
This is not a position where employees independently change procedures, improvise treatments, or substitute their personal preference for established protocol.
We are specifically looking for someone who:
- Follows directions carefully and consistently.
- Is comfortable receiving frequent instruction, coaching and feedback.
- Responds to correction professionally and makes adjustments without becoming defensive or disengaged.
- Can follow the same procedure accurately even after becoming comfortable with the job.
- Uses checklists and established systems rather than relying solely on memory.
- Asks questions when something is unclear instead of making assumptions.
- Works independently while maintaining the same standards expected when management is present.
- Completes assigned responsibilities without requiring repeated reminders or follow-up.
- Understands that reliability and operational execution are just as important as performing treatments well.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include performing trained non-invasive body and facial treatments; preparing clients and treatment rooms; taking treatment photos, measurements and documentation; monitoring client comfort; sanitizing equipment; changing linens; completing laundry; restocking treatment supplies; preparing rooms for upcoming appointments; maintaining treatment-room organization; monitoring the client calendar; documenting client notes; assisting with scheduling and administrative tasks; communicating supply or equipment needs; and supporting an organized, professional client experience from arrival through departure.
Technicians may also periodically assist with YSS wellness activations, corporate events, fitness partnerships and other off-site experiences.
Who Will Do Well Here
You may be an excellent fit if you are naturally dependable, detail-oriented, calm, organized and accountable.
You do not need to know everything on day one. We provide training. However, once something has been taught, we expect employees to apply the training consistently and take responsibility for using the tools and systems provided.
We especially value candidates with previous experience in environments such as healthcare, patient care, wellness, aesthetics, hospitality, fitness, luxury service, medical offices, spas or other roles requiring strong customer service and attention to detail.
Two or more years of prior work experience is strongly preferred.
Schedule & Availability
This is a part-time position with variable weekly hours based on client bookings and studio needs.
We are specifically seeking candidates who are based in the Washington, DC area and expect to remain available locally on an ongoing basis.
Strong preference will be given to candidates who:
- Have reliable availability in the DC area during the summer months.
- Are generally available in DC during college/university holiday and break periods, rather than routinely leaving the area for extended periods.
- Have enough schedule flexibility to accommodate a service-based business in which appointment volume and client needs may vary from week to week.
- Can reliably commute to the Washington, DC studio and travel to occasional local activations when scheduled.
Physical & Operational Requirements
This is an active, hands-on role. Technicians should be comfortable standing for periods of time, performing repetitive treatment movements, handling treatment equipment, bending/reaching during room preparation and sanitation, moving supplies, and completing cleaning, laundry and room-reset responsibilities.
Candidates should understand that client-facing treatment work and behind-the-scenes operational work are both essential parts of the position.
What We Are Looking For
Above all, we are looking for someone who makes the operation more reliable and easier to run: someone who follows through, pays attention, communicates, respects established systems, takes feedback well, and can be trusted to execute the complete job consistently.
If you enjoy helping people feel confident, have a genuine interest in beauty/wellness, and are someone who takes pride in following a process and doing things correctly, we would love to hear from you.
To apply: Please submit your résumé along with a brief explanation of your interest in aesthetics/wellness, your current availability, your anticipated summer and holiday availability in Washington, DC, and why you believe you would be a strong fit for a highly structured, protocol-driven position.
