Clinical Data Specialist (Human-in-the-Loop) – Reproductive Health

Clinical Data Specialist (Human-in-the-Loop) – Reproductive Health

Company: Genova Health

Location: Remote (US-Based)

Type: Part-time role

Experience Level: Mid-level (3-5 years clinical or clinical-data experience)

About Us

Genova is an early-stage healthtech startup on a mission to modernize reproductive medicine. We are building AI-driven solutions to improve outcomes, streamline workflows, and personalize care within the fertility space. As an early-stage team, we value builders who are comfortable with ambiguity, deeply analytical, and passionate about transforming patient outcomes.

The Role

We are seeking a Clinical Data Specialist (Human-in-the-Loop) to serve as the critical human anchor for our clinical AI products. In this role, you will be the primary expert reviewing, validating, and auditing complex clinical fertility data (including embryology metrics, endocrinology panels, and ultrasound tracking) processed by our models.

Because we are an early-stage startup, you won’t just be clicking buttons. You will actively collaborate with our engineers and product managers to identify systemic edge cases, improve data labeling pipelines, and ensure our algorithms operate with institutional-grade clinical safety.

What You’ll Do

  • Human-in-the-Loop Verification: Review and audit AI-processed clinical fertility records, ensuring complete accuracy before data is finalized or delivered to clinicians.
  • Pipeline Optimization: Collaborate directly with engineering and product teams to translate clinical nuances into technical logic, helping to retrain and refine our models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and SOC2 guidelines, ensuring all Protected Health Information (PHI) is handled with absolute confidentiality and security.
  • Feedback Loops: Document and categorize edge cases, recurring model errors, and clinical discrepancies to build a robust reinforcement learning (RLHF) loop.

What We Are Looking For

  • Clinical Domain Expertise: 3-5 years of direct experience handling clinical data in reproductive endocrinology, IVF clinics, or women’s health.
  • Background / Credentials: Ideally an RN, Embryologist, Andrologist, Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC), or Health Informatics Specialist with strong knowledge of the IVF/IUI care lifecycle.
  • Tech Literacy: High comfort level navigating various fertility EMRs and a strong desire to work directly with AI/ML tools. Experience with data labeling platforms or SQL is a huge plus, but not required.
  • The Startup Mindset: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where processes are still being built. You are proactive, highly detail-oriented, and don't hesitate to question data anomalies.
  • Location: Must be legally authorized to work in the US and reside in a US time zone.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible, fully remote work environment.
  • The opportunity to shape the foundational data strategy of a high-growth healthtech startup.
