Part-Time Sunday School Teacher/Helper

Zion Korean United Methodist Church is looking for a caring and dependable part-time Sunday School Teacher/Helper to support our Sunday children’s ministry.

Schedule: Sundays, 11:45 AM–1:15 PM

Compensation: $35 per Sunday (1.5 hours, equivalent to approximately $23.33/hour).

Our Sunday School currently has two girls, ages 10 and 4, and we already have a lead Sunday School teacher. This position is primarily a support/helper role, so you will not be expected to lead the class on your own. You will assist the lead teacher and help engage and care for the children during Sunday School.

Responsibilities:
• Assist the lead teacher with simple, age-appropriate Bible lessons and activities
• Help supervise and engage the two children during class
• Help create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment
• Participate in Bible stories, crafts, games, and other simple activities
• Curriculum and lesson materials are provided by the church

Qualifications:
• Enjoy working with children
• Dependable, patient, and responsible
• Comfortable working in a Christian church environment
• College students are welcome to apply
• Previous experience with children is preferred but not required
• Background check required

This is a small Sunday School class and a great opportunity for a college student who enjoys working with children and would like a meaningful part-time Sunday position.
