Job Overview
We are seeking passionate Folklórico Dance Instructors to educate (Tk-4) students in global dance traditions. This role involves designing curriculum, leading energetic classes, and fostering cultural appreciation through movement and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inclusive folk dance instruction and choreography.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and restorative strategies.
- Prepare instructional materials and ensure student safety at all times.
- Keep inventory of Performance materials.
- Collaborate with site leads and participate in professional development.
- Organize showcases to highlight student progress and celebrate traditions.
Requirements
- Passion for teaching school-age children.
- Proven expertise in folk or traditional dance instruction and choreography.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan clearance and submit TB test results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Schedule
Location: Sacramento, CA
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (17–20 hours/week)
