Content Sales and Distribution Intern

We are searching for a hybrid Content Sales & Distribution Intern to join our Sales team in our New York office. This will be an exciting opportunity to get hands-on experience in all areas of content licensing and strategy. The successful candidate will possess a friendly can-do attitude, and is motivated, intellectually curious, organized, adept at multi-tasking, and can work independently. This is a paid, part-time position with a 20 to 25-hour weekly commitment.

 

Reports to: Director, North American Digital Distribution

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Rate: $18.47/hr. 3-4 days a week (negotiable); up to 3 months

Paid Time Off: 56 hours of sick leave frontloaded

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to Director, North American Digital Distribution
  • Schedule and coordinate internal meetings, and external meetings with key partners
  • Coordinate travel accommodations, and manage travel agendas
  • Expense reporting for travel, client meetings, and events
  • Learn and use the rights management system to pull reports and content avails
  • Perform Weekly Delivery Status checks for key partners
  • Perform Monthly Platform QC checks for key partners
  • Populate and prepare metadata and sales assets (e.g., screening links, trailer links, artwork, decks, documents) for distribution partners.
  • Assist with compiling, formatting, and organizing presentation materials and other documentation
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings, taking notes and ensuring timely follow-up on action items.
  • Support ad hoc and special projects, including research on content availability, distribution trends, and cross-department collaborations (e.g., Production, Business Affairs, Creative).
  • Coordinate client-related needs, such as gifts and communications.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to assure successful interaction with all levels of employees and clients.
  • Detail oriented, strong time management skills, quick learner, and excellent follow through.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and TEAMS.
  • Deep knowledge of Film/TV content a plus.
