OFFICE MANAGER / CLINICAL ASSISTANT – RECENT GRADUATE OPPORTUNITY
Concierge Primary Care Practice – Newton Centre, MAFull-Time | Monday–Friday | $24–$26/hour
A small concierge primary care practice in Newton Centre is seeking a motivated recent college graduate fora full-time Office Manager / Clinical Assistant position. This is an excellent opportunity for someoneconsidering medicine, PA, nursing, healthcare administration, or another healthcare career who is lookingfor meaningful hands-on experience in a primary care setting.
We are a small, collaborative, cross-trained team, and staff participate in both clinical and administrativeresponsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the physician and help coordinate dailyoffice operations, patient care, staff and student activities, and the continued growth of the practice
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate daily office operations, scheduling, referrals, patient follow-up, and workflow• Help supervise, coordinate, and train medical assistants and student interns• Perform phlebotomy independently, including blood draws, specimen labeling, processing, andpreparation for laboratory pickup/shipment• Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing• Coordinate prior authorizations and insurance approvals• Maintain and periodically update physician/practice information on insurance payer portals and providerdirectories• Communicate warmly and professionally with patients, specialists, hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories,and insurance companies• Troubleshoot routine computer, administrative, and workflow issues• Assist with prospective-patient inquiries, meet-and-greets, patient outreach, and initiatives supportingpractice growth and retention• Assist with both clinical and administrative responsibilities as needed in our small, cross-trained office
QUALIFICATIONS
• Recent college graduate with a minimum two-year commitment required; preference given to candidatesable to commit longer• Hands-on phlebotomy/blood-draw experience required, with the ability to draw blood independently• Experience with specimen labeling, processing, and preparation for laboratory pickup/shipment• Current CPR/AED or BLS certification• Warm, personable, and patient-centered, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Mature, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented• Strong computer and problem-solving skills• Fast learner who is adaptable, coachable, and receptive to feedback and training• Able to take initiative while working closely with the physician and following established practiceworkflows• Comfortable coordinating and working with students and other medical assistants• Prior experience in a primary care or internal medicine office is highly desirable but not required
Many administrative responsibilities—including prior authorizations, insurance processes, payer portals,and practice-specific workflows—will be taught. Prior hands-on phlebotomy experience is required.
COMPENSATION & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
Starting pay: $24–$26/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Candidates who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly willbe eligible for a compensation increase within six months, with opportunities for annual increases andperformance-based bonuses as responsibilities grow.
This position provides broad exposure to clinical care, primary care, healthcare administration, staffcoordination, and practice management while working closely with a primary care physician.
