Join Air Force Civilian Intelligence: Summer Internship Opportunity (GG-04/GG-05/GG-07)

 

Program Overview:
Air Force Civilian Intelligence is excited to seek curious and critical thinkers for the Premier College Intern Program (PCIP). This full-time summer internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience alongside Intelligence professionals while working on real-world projects.

 

Internships will begin in the Summer of 2027.

 

Who We’re Looking For:
If you are a full-time undergraduate sophomore/junior or a first-year graduate student with a minimum GPA of 2.95 and a passion for intelligence analysis, we want to hear from you!

  4. Complete all three (3) phases of the HireVue Interview process no later than 7 October 2026. 

       NOTE: If you have already completed an FY27 AFCS HireVue application and completed all three phases, you do not need to submit another interview.

Applicants who successfully complete the AFCS Application will receive additional instructions from the Intelligence Career Field Team regarding the next steps in the application process.

 

Internship Details:
The Premier College Intern Program is a 12-week paid internship designed to provide you with invaluable training and experience in the field of Intelligence. As a participant, you will:

  • Develop basic intelligence functions through hands-on experience.
  • Work on a designated project and follow a custom training plan.
  • Participate in a three-day Intern Symposium.
  • Receive mentorship from senior leaders in the intelligence community.

 

During this high-tempo internship, you will immediately develop and apply advanced research and analytical skills to real-world, time-sensitive information, directly supporting DAF operations across the globe.

 

Career Advancement:
Following your successful completion of the PCIP and graduation, you may be eligible for a full-time position in the Intelligence PALACE Acquire (PAQ) Program, which includes:

  • A three-year formal development program
  • A six-month Intelligence Officer School at Goodfellow AFB
  • Training and leadership opportunities
  • Performance-based annual promotions and salary increases
  • Eligibility for Student Loan repayment and up to 100% Tuition Assistance
  • Permanent employment upon successful completion of the PAQ program

 

Conditions of Employment: 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Minimum GPA of 2.95
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Required to serve a 2-year trial period under DCIPS
  • Must agree to sign a Statement of Understanding prior to occupying a DCIPS position.
  • A Top-Secret (TS) Clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) are required, involving a Special Background investigation. Failure to obtain and maintain this required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal from the agency.
  • Subject to pre-employment requirements, including drug testing.
  • If selected, you will need to provide official identification for citizenship verification.
  • Selected applicants may need to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft as required for official duties.
  • Candidates will not be hired based on their race, sex, color, religion, or national origin.

 

Applicant Evaluation:

Applicants will be evaluated based on the materials and assessments required for the position. This may include:

  • Responses to the Hire Vue interview
  • Hire Vue assessments
  • Review of transcripts and supporting documents
  • Resume review

 

If you are minimally qualified for this job, you will be placed into one of three pre-defined quality categories based on your application. These categories are Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3.
