Internship Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate student for a 6 months 2026/2027 internship. This position offers hands-on experience in turbomachinery design and analysis, with opportunities to contribute to clean energy and advanced engineering projects.

The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and gain practical experience applying thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical design principles to real-world engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean Energy Projects: Contribute to engineering projects focused on improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
  • Turbomachinery Design and Analysis: Use AxSTREAM® to design, analyze, and optimize turbomachinery components and systems.
  • Research and Development Support: Assist with studies and simulations involving the aero-thermodynamic and mechanical aspects of turbomachinery systems.
  • Engineering Analysis: Evaluate designs and performance results to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and recommendations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical design principles.
  • Familiarity with engineering analysis or design software. Experience with turbomachinery software is a plus but not required. Training on AxSTREAM® will be provided.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an engineering team.
