Commodity Market Intern - LATAM

JOB DESCRIPTION
CIH is seeking a Commodity Markets Intern fluent in Spanish to join the LATAM team with the potential to 
grow into a full-time career opportunity in our Chicago office. This 10-week summer 
2027 program is designed for a motivated, team-oriented candidate with strong 
communication and problem-solving skills. The intern will gain practical exposure to 
commodity markets while supporting account executives, traders, and research teams.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
• Futures and Options.
• Market drivers and price volatility.
• Market research and analysis.
• Trade and position management.
• Skills used to develop and nurture professional relationships.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Complete assigned market research projects.
• Assist in developing client facing presentations. 
• Check trades and orders against client positions.
• Attend strategy meetings.
• Support the daily activities of account executives, traders, and research teams.
• Track the historical and projected financial performance of market positions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Has completed at least three years of college.
• Strong communication skills.
• Works effectively as part of a team and approaches challenges with initiative.
• Knowledge of LATAM industrial F&B, energy, agriculture or soft commodity 
markets preferred.
