We're looking for a friendly, patient, and engaging Guitar Instructor to introduce middle school students to the fundamentals of guitar.
Students will explore basic chords, strumming, rhythm, simple songs, and foundational playing techniques. The goal is to make learning guitar approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding while helping students build confidence through music.
You don't have to be a professional guitarist or experienced music teacher. If you can play guitar, understand beginner-level fundamentals, and enjoy working with students, you may be a great fit.
Curriculum guidance and instructional materials are provided, so you don't need to create your own lessons from scratch.
What You'll Do
- Lead engaging beginner-level guitar lessons for students.
- Introduce basic chords, strumming patterns, rhythm, and playing techniques.
- Demonstrate guitar skills and guide students through hands-on practice.
- Help students learn simple songs and musical exercises.
- Explain guitar concepts in a clear, simple, and approachable way.
- Encourage students to practice and develop their musical confidence.
- Support students as they learn at different speeds.
- Create a positive and welcoming learning environment.
- Use interactive activities to keep students engaged.
- Encourage students to ask questions and explore music.
- Help students build foundational guitar skills.
- Provide additional guidance to students who need support.
- Follow the provided curriculum and instructional materials.
- Help maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
- Communicate professionally with school staff and the Whizara team.
