Trenton, New Jersey area. On-site. October 2026 to September 2027, with possible extension. Comtech, LLC is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a locum tenens assignment at a county correctional healthcare facility in the Trenton, New Jersey area. This is a W-2 position with Comtech. What you will do: Perform initial physical therapy evaluations. Develop individualized treatment plans based on your evaluation findings. Deliver treatment sessions and conduct follow-up assessments as ordered by physicians. Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff and other healthcare providers on patient care. Caseload: Roughly 40 initial evaluations and 650 treatment sessions per year, plus physician-ordered follow-ups. The schedule is coordinated with the facility around referrals and caseload, so it is steady and predictable rather than a full outpatient load. Required qualifications: Active, unrestricted New Jersey Physical Therapist license in good standing, or a PT Compact privilege for New Jersey. Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program. Strong clinical documentation and communication skills. Able to complete the facility's onboarding, credentialing and security clearance. Professional liability coverage as required for the assignment. Preferred qualifications: At least one year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist. Experience in correctional, rehabilitation, skilled nursing or outpatient settings. Comfort working independently with diverse patient populations. About the setting: Services are delivered on-site within a secure correctional facility, in a controlled clinical area with security staff present. You focus on patient care.
