Operations Associate Intern
Operations Associate Internship — ChicoBag Company
Chico, CA · Part-time during school year, full-time during summer/breaks · $16.75–$19/hour · 18-month commitment preferred
ChicoEco, Inc., home of the ChicoBag Company, is helping humanity bag the single-use habit — the wasteful, throw-away habit that overflows our landfills and clogs our oceans. We're a Certified B Corp and Climate Neutral company designing and selling reusable products that give people an active role in solving the single-use problem.
We're looking for an Operations Associate Intern who can work around a school schedule: available part-time during the semester, full-time during winter and summer breaks, and able to commit to roughly 18 months so we can actually invest in training you. This is hands-on work in our Chico warehouse — you'll learn shipping and receiving, inventory control, production, and how a small mission-driven manufacturer actually runs day to day.
What you'll do:
Coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations and help ensure on-time shipments to customers. Inspect inventory for quality control and help with physical counts. Apply labels and stickers, and support daily production duties like printing, pressing, and assembling finished products. Help load and unload trucks, and keep the facility clean, organized, and safe. Provide tracking numbers, shipment costs, and shipping quotes as requested. Support the Customer Service team by logging and following up on cases. Sit in on weekly Operations and companywide meetings, and pitch in on process improvements.
What we're looking for:
A current student (or recent grad) able to commit to about 18 months, with availability during school breaks and summer. No warehouse experience required — we'll train you — though prior shipping, production, or retail experience is a plus. Comfortable lifting up to 55 lbs regularly and working in both hot and cold conditions. Organized, a clear communicator, and a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Genuinely interested in sustainability and ChicoBag's mission.
