Commercial Producer – FOX21 Duluth

FOX21 (KQDS-TV) in Duluth, Minnesota, is looking for a creative, driven, and detail-oriented Commercial Producer to join our Production Department. This position plays a key role in creating local commercials, station image campaigns, and news promotions that engage viewers across the Northland and deliver results for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, script, shoot, and edit local commercials and station promotions for broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with clients, account executives, and station staff to create compelling advertising that supports each client’s brand and business goals.
  • Produce, shoot, and edit news image campaigns and topical promotions that showcase FOX21 News and its coverage of the Northland.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high production standards.
  • Operate cameras, lighting, audio, and related field and studio equipment.
  • Bring fresh ideas and creative storytelling techniques to commercial and promotional projects.
  • Maintain organized video assets and project files, ensuring finished work meets station branding and applicable broadcast standards.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in video production, editing, and creative storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or comparable editing and motion graphics software.
  • Experience with professional video cameras, DSLR or mirrorless cameras, and lighting and audio equipment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and across station departments.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver quality work under tight deadlines.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience producing broadcast commercials, station image campaigns, and news promotions.
  • Familiarity with social media video production and digital content creation.
  • Drone operation experience and FAA Part 107 certification are a plus.
