Civil Engineering Intern
We are currently accepting applications from Civil Engineering Students in the St. Louis, MO, or Peoria, IL area who are looking to work full-time over the summer of 2027 to gain experience in Land Development/Site Design.
Experience Level: Rising junior or senior
Schedule: Summer - 32-40 hours/week
Salary: $19.00-$23.00/hr. – salary is commensurate with experience
Location: Based in Swansea or Peoria, IL
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in the direct drafting and design of site design and transportation projects under the guidance of licensed Professional Engineers
- Make changes to designs from engineer’s mark-ups
- Assist in preparing plans, specifications, and estimates
- Conduct site/field inspections of project locations
Qualifications Desired:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering bachelor’s program
- Excellence in studies and a strong desire to learn
- Ability and experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation in a previous job preferred
- Team-oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to learn quickly, and work independently and in a team
- Strong competency in math
- Willingness to work hard
- Attention to detail
