Assistant Architecture Instructor

KidzArchitects leads hands-on, screen-free after-school workshops introducing children in grades K–8 to architecture, design, and urban planning. We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers for after-school positions in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Responsibilities
Support the Lead Teacher during engaging architecture sessions
Help students follow instructions and complete hands-on building projects
Work with small groups of children and provide individual support
Help distribute materials, organize the classroom, and support clean-up
Contribute to a warm, encouraging, and well-managed classroom environment
What we’re looking for
Student, graduate, or freelancer with an interest in architecture, arts, design, urban planning, or education
Experience working with children through teaching, camps, tutoring, mentoring, or similar activities
Creativity, patience, reliability, and a positive attitude
Ability to collaborate effectively with a Lead Teacher
Valid authorization to work in the U.S.; we are unable to provide visa sponsorship
What we offer
$25–30 per hour
A complete training program — no architecture degree required
All materials and lesson plans provided
Flexible part-time positions on weekday afternoons in Brooklyn and Manhattan
