Paid Canvasser JR Eppler for Supervisor 2026
The JR Eppler for Supervisor campaign is seeking to hire canvassers who will outreach to voters in San Francisco. Applicants must be comfortable with attending in-person activities, including doorknocking, across San Francisco's District 10 neighborhoods. We are a grassroots campaign committed to electing a candidate to deliver community focused results for District 10.
WORK SCHEDULE & HOURS:
This position is part-time, up to 20 hours a week, through November 3, 2026. The hourly rate is $30 per hour with no benefits. Under AB 5, canvassers will be hired as employees.
Work hours are Monday - Thursday (3 PM - 7 PM) and Saturday - Sunday (10 AM - 2 PM).
PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend trainings and develop understanding about the candidate, policy platforms, messaging, and community response
- Talk to hundreds of voters each week
- Complete accurate data entry
- Share daily report summaries during campaign debrief meetings
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commitment to the campaign and to elect JR Eppler as Supervisor
- Able to work Monday - Thursday from 3 PM to 7 PM and some weekends 10 AM to 2 PM
- Ability to do physical activities including walking a few hours a day, doorknocking, and other in person activities
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn and familiarize oneself with programs such as PDI or NGP VAN
- Possess a functioning smart phone
- Strong motivation and adaptability, including ability to work under pressure and with deadlines
- Must be at least 18 years of age
