notMYkid is hiring for an on-site therapist licensed as an LCSW at our outpatient clinic located at our campus on 5310 E. Shea Blvd in Scottsdale. Anticipated Hours 10-6pm Monday-Friday

The Licensed Clinical Therapist (LCSW) is responsible for providing comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services that support notMYkid's mission of empowering youth, strengthening families, and building healthier communities. The focuses on client care through assessment, individual, family, and group therapy, care coordination, clinical consultation and clinical documentation within the therapist’s professional scope of practice.

Family engagement is central to the therapeutic process, with family therapy serving as the primary treatment modality whenever clinically appropriate. The Licensed Clinical Therapist (LCSW) also provides individual and group therapy, completes behavioral health assessments and treatment planning, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and community partners, and maintains clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and ADHS licensing requirements. The position plays a key role in advancing notMYkid's mission by providing high-quality, integrated behavioral health services that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy tailored to the developmental, behavioral, and clinical needs of children, adolescents, transitional-age youth, adults, and families.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, clinical interviews, crisis evaluations, and safety assessments; develop diagnoses and treatment recommendations within authorized scope of practice.
• Remain on-site until required assessments, safety determinations, and disposition planning are completed or appropriate clinical coverage has been established.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and update individualized treatment plans; evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify interventions based on client progress and clinical needs.
• Engage parents, guardians, caregivers, and natural supports, when clinically appropriate, and provide clinical recommendations, education, and strategies that support client progress, resilience, and continuity of care.
• Coordinate care and participate in case reviews, treatment planning, referrals, discharge and aftercare planning, and other continuity-of-care activities with clients, families, providers, and community partners.
• Complete and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including intake documentation, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, event notifications, care coordination, discharge summaries, and relapse prevention plans.
• Manage an assigned caseload of approximately 15 active clients, subject to organizational needs, while maintaining compliance with ADHS requirements, HIPAA, professional ethical standards, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
• Provide supervision, mentoring, case consultation, documentation review, and clinical guidance to assigned graduate-level interns when qualified and authorized, consistent with applicable licensing board and educational program requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide clinical consultation regarding behavioral health concerns, referrals, client safety, crisis response, and appropriate escalation of care within the Therapist's scope of practice.

Required Education and Certifications for the Position

• At least one year experience as an LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
• Current, active, unrestricted, and unencumbered Arizona license issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE)Current AZBBHE Board Approved Clinical Supervisor or the ability to obtain AZBBHE certification for clinical supervision
• AZDPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Negative TB Screening (within 1 year)
• Negative drug test this includes THC

Preferred Education and Certifications

• Current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Therapeutic Interventions for Trauma (ex: EMDR, Brainspotting, CCTP, TF-CBT)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Professional Competencies

• Knowledge and experience in behavioral health counseling, assessment, treatment planning, case management, evidence-based interventions, and clinical documentation.
• Ability to recognize mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions and apply sound clinical judgment in assessment, treatment, and client care.
• Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to behavioral health crises, including suicide/self-harm risk, aggressive behavior, safety concerns, and medical or other emergencies.
• General knowledge of commonly prescribed behavioral health medications, including potential side effects and adverse reactions.
• Demonstrates professional ethics, confidentiality, appropriate boundaries, respect for client rights and dignity, and compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage clients, families, multidisciplinary teams, referral sources, and community partners.
• Strong organizational, critical-thinking, and time-management skills, including the ability to independently manage a clinical caseload and meet documentation and regulatory deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, and other technology required for the position.

Client Acuity & Service Complexity

The Outpatient Therapist works with clients experiencing a range of low to moderate outpatient behavioral health needs and may encounter individuals presenting with higher-acuity concerns requiring immediate clinical assessment, safety planning, consultation, crisis intervention, or referral to a higher level of care.

Physical Demands

• To perform this role successfully, candidates should be able to:
• Sit, stand, and move throughout the workday.
• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Use a computer and electronic health record (EHR) system for documentation.
• Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and virtually.
• Occasionally lift or carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Travel locally to schools, community locations, or meetings as needed.
