Position Summary
Thrive Center is seeking a Certified Literacy Teacher to join our team. In this role, you'll provide instructional support to students individually or in small groups, helping them build foundational reading and writing skills and access the general education curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
You'll provide instruction to students per their individual program, and develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with each student's literacy goals. You'll modify and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate service logs and session notes. You'll also prepare and submit progress reports in alignment with program timelines, collaborate with the Thrive team, and use evidence-based literacy instruction strategies to support student growth, including organizational and study skills.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone with a Master's degree in Education and a reading or literacy certification. Experience working with students who have reading or writing gaps is preferred, along with a strong understanding of content for the assigned age group, and excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team is a must.

Work Environment
Teachers may be placed in public, private, or charter schools.
