Teacher

 The School at Joyn is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher to work with middle and high school students who may suffer with poor mental health. The teacher will assist students with on-line learning, manage transcripts and lead morning and afternoon classroom discussions. 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.

 Florida Teacher Certification. 

Experience working with students with anxiety, ADHD, autism, or exceptionalities is preferred 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Lead 30 minute morning and afternoon class discussions.

Help students with online school work.

Manage Student Transcripts.

Implement classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment.

Safeguard the health and safety of students at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned by the director of the school 

Key Competencies: Ability to be flexible with plans.

Ability to be sensitive to and help students who have school anxiety for any number of reasons.

Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, students and families. 

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as required.

Ability to stand, sit, bend and move throughout the day.

Ability to respond quickly to student needs and emergencies
