F1 Race Weekend Backup
The Role
InCast is hiring Austin-area college students as paid on-site backup for a major race-weekend activation at Circuit of the Americas. You report on site each scheduled day. If the client needs coverage or there is a call-out, you are activated for that day’s full shift. If you are not needed, you are paid a two-hour minimum and released.
Schedule
Tue, Oct 21 — On-site training: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (required).
Fri, Oct 23 — Backup window: 7:45 AM – 9:45 AM. If activated: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Sat, Oct 24 — Backup window: 7:45 AM – 9:45 AM. If activated: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Sun, Oct 25 — Backup window: 7:45 AM – 9:45 AM. If activated: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
You must be available to stay the full potential shift each day if called up.
Pay
- $30 per hour.
- Not activated: paid two hours (the backup window) and released.
- Activated: paid the full working shift for that day.
- Training on Oct 21 is part of the program — confirm details in your offer/call sheet.
What You Will Do If Activated
- Step into a guest-facing or support role on the activation floor.
- Follow Team Lead direction, stay professional, and represent the program cleanly.
- Assist with guest flow, brand presence, and on-site needs as assigned.
Ideal Student Profile
- Currently enrolled college student in the Austin area (Handshake applicants welcome).
- Reliable transportation to Circuit of the Americas.
- Available for training Oct 21 and backup days Oct 23–25, including possible full shifts.
- Professional, polished, approachable, and comfortable in a large outdoor event environment.
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods and work outdoors.
- On time is late — 7:45 AM call means 7:45 AM on site.
