We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Managed Care Specialist to join our team in a hybrid capacity based in Nashville, TN. This role is responsible for evaluating eligibility for specialized care programs, conducting client interviews, managing legal casework, and providing core administrative and analytical support. Candidates must be local to Middle Tennessee and able to commute onsite as needed.

 

Note: This role includes an extensive training program of up to 6 weeks (virtual and in-office). 100% daily attendance is mandatory; no pre-planned PTO will be approved during the training period.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and determine individual and family program eligibility according to established guidelines and regulations.
  • Conduct detailed client interviews, gather facts and documentation, and compile comprehensive case files to provide recommendations for legal counsel.
  • Perform legal research, analyze legal paperwork, draft official documents, and maintain accurate records of all findings.
  • Manage active caseloads efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and meticulous case file documentation.
  • Navigate and extract critical data across multiple internal and external databases.
  • Coordinate and communicate schedules with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, project workgroups, and provide general support to leadership as needed.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard office productivity suites (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and database navigation.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and fact-finding capabilities.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong note-taking and professional documentation abilities.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to manage deadlines independently, organize high volumes of correspondence, and prioritize competing tasks with minimal supervision.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal educational background in Paralegal Studies.
  • Prior professional experience in a legal, judicial, or casework environment.
  • Prior experience in customer service, call centers, or public assistance/managed care environments.

 

Location & Screening Requirements

  • Must reside in Middle Tennessee and be available to report to the Nashville office based on schedule requirements.
  • Selected candidates will be required to successfully pass a comprehensive background screening (including statewide/county criminal history, national registries, and address history verification) prior to starting.
  • Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid – Onsite & Remote as scheduled)
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours/day (37.5 hours/week) | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
