Wealth Analyst

About the role

PortfolioFuture builds investment research products around a difficult problem: helping investors determine whether an ETF or mutual fund deserves attention, understand what drives its returns, and identify better alternatives.

The Wealth Analyst focuses on how financial advisors and wealth managers evaluate the funds PortfolioFuture identifies.

You will speak with advisors, RIAs, and wealth-management professionals to understand how they view specific funds, what makes them willing to investigate a product further, and what concerns prevent a fund from entering their consideration set.

The goal is to turn those conversations into structured market intelligence about how investment products are actually perceived and evaluated.

What you’ll work on

• Speak with financial advisors, RIAs, and wealth-management professionals about funds identified through PortfolioFuture’s research.

• Understand how advisors compare competing ETFs and mutual funds and what drives further consideration.

• Identify recurring questions, objections, and concerns around specific funds and investment strategies.

• Research how advisors perceive a fund’s strategy, positioning, fees, track record, portfolio role, and competitive alternatives.

• Compare how different advisors evaluate the same investment product.

• Document conversations and turn qualitative feedback into structured insights.

• Identify gaps between how a fund manager describes a strategy and how the wealth-management market understands it.

• Help PortfolioFuture develop a clearer view of what makes an investment product easier or harder for advisors to evaluate.

What we’re looking for

• Strong interest in wealth management, financial advisors, ETFs, mutual funds, and investment products.

• Ability to conduct thoughtful professional conversations and ask useful follow-up questions.

• Strong listening skills and the ability to identify patterns across different conversations.

• Ability to understand investment products well enough to discuss them with financial professionals.

• Strong written communication and ability to summarize qualitative research clearly.

• Professional judgment, curiosity, and attention to detail.

• Comfort reaching out to and speaking with experienced advisors and wealth-management professionals.

Experience in wealth management, financial services, investment research, market research, or client-facing roles is valuable but not required.
