Supplier Operations Intern
The 2027 Ulta Beauty Internship is a structured 10-week program designed to develop future talent and provide interns with a unique and impactful development experience. This program is tailored for rising college Juniors and Seniors, offering Corporate, Field, and Distribution Center internship tracks. The internship will be hybrid for Corporate interns and in-person for Distribution Center and Field interns. Interns will gain hands-on experience in Ulta Beauty’s operations while contributing to business needs, engaging in meaningful projects, and broadening their professional development. The internship program provides real-world experience directly related to the academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of career options.

TEAM OVERVIEW:
Be part of the Supplier Operations team, responsible for strengthening how Ulta Beauty partners and collaborates with its supplier community to improve operational performance and support business growth. The team works cross-functionally across Supply Chain and the broader organization to improve supplier performance, simplify processes, solve operational challenges, and create stronger ways of working between Ulta Beauty and its brand partners.
The intern will specifically support Joint Business Initiatives, partnering with Supplier Operations and key brand partners to identify opportunities, analyze performance, develop solutions, and support initiatives that create measurable value for both Ulta Beauty and its suppliers.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an intern, you will contribute to achieving the following goals:
- Support Joint Business Initiatives with key supplier partners, helping identify and execute opportunities to improve supply chain performance.
- Analyze supplier performance and operational data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Support the development of action plans, milestones, owners, and success measures for supplier initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain and other business teams to gather insights and move initiatives forward.
- Support supplier meetings through data analysis, preparation of materials, documentation of decisions, and follow-up on actions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work, improve supplier collaboration, and drive operational efficiencies.
- Track initiative progress and measure results against established goals and KPIs.
- Develop a final recommendation and capstone presentation for leadership summarizing project findings, business impact, and opportunities for future expansion.
- Must be local to Bolingbrook office and able to commute 2-3 days during corporate weeks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in using data to identify business opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
- Ability to organize information, identify trends, and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to take ownership of assigned work.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with various levels of leadership and cross-functional partners.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university.
- Previous work experience and/or active involvement with on-campus organizations or activities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
