Long Term Substitute- Middle School Science and Social Studies
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons.
- Follow the school's curriculum, pacing guides, instructional expectations, and established classroom routines.
- Create a safe, respectful, and academically focused classroom environment.
- Establish and maintain consistent classroom procedures, expectations, and behavior systems.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic and learning needs of diverse students.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies, including direct instruction, cooperative learning, inquiry-based activities, discussion, projects, and technology.
- Incorporate hands-on and real-world learning experiences whenever appropriate.
- Assess student understanding through classwork, assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, and other formative and summative assessments.
- Provide timely and meaningful feedback to students.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
- Monitor student progress and communicate concerns regarding academic performance or behavior to appropriate school personnel.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, intervention staff, administrators, and other members of the school community.
- Communicate professionally and appropriately with families regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and school information.
- Follow all school policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide appropriate supervision of students during assigned duties, transitions, lunch, arrival/dismissal, and school activities.
- Support the school's mission, vision, values, and culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
