Public Relations Assistant

We are seeking a Public Relations & Administrative Assistant to support our small team this fall. This part-time role is ideal for a college student interested in public relations, marketing, advertising, journalism, or communications who is organized, creative, and detail-oriented. The assistant will help with email communications, scheduling, organization, social media, and basic graphic/video content creation. 

Responsibilities

  • Draft and organize emails and communications
  • Assist with scheduling, calendar management, and administrative tasks
  • Help organize files, projects, and day-to-day priorities
  • Support social media management and content planning
  • Create or assist with graphics and short-form video content
  • Use Canva and CapCut to support social media and marketing materials
  • Assist with other PR, marketing, and administrative projects as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Currently a sophomore or junior in college
  • Studying Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience with Canva and/or CapCut
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Creative, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
  • Interested in building hands-on experience in PR, marketing, and social media

 

Position Details

  • Pay: $18/hour (position is a 1099 contract role). 
  • Location: Remote (Oregon based preferred). 
  • Hours: Part-time, approximately 8–12 hours per week
  • Timeline: Fall 2026
  • Experience Level: Undergraduate student (Sophomore–Senior)
