IT Support Technician

On-Campus ACA Variable 

US Work Authorization is REQUIRED 

 

Required Skills/Experience: 

Required: 

  • Thorough knowledge of Windows OS
  • Familiarity with Mac OS
  • Familiarity with computer networking principles
  • Experience with Command-Line
  • Software & Hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn processes and applications quickly
  • Experience with costumer support and communication

Preferred 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune management and policies
  • Knowledge of Windows Server & AD
  • Experience troubleshooting computer networks
  • Experience with building computers
  • Ability to document and communicate processes and solutions
  • Familiarity with Linux

What You’ll Do: 

  • Perform routine maintenance on 300+ computers in the Engineering Computer Lab and Engineering Design Lab.
  • Maintaining the security of the lab
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they occur
  • Write basic programs to assist in lab projects
  • Support the factually and staff of the College of Engineering and their departments

Expectations: 

  • Maintain a professional environment while working in either lab and with your coworkers
  • Maintain good communication with both labs during your shifts
  • Work respectfully with the other IT group members on problem solving and projects
  • Be flexible in your work environment (willing to travel between labs on campus during your shifts)
