About the Role

McCorquodale Transfer is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to be the connective tissue between our business teams and our software development team. You will sit down with the people who actually do the work (Sales, Dispatch, Operations, Warehouse, Accounting, and Customer Service) and turn what they need into clear, documented, testable requirements that our developers can build from.

This role also acts as a go-to technical resource for our team members, supporting in some day-to-day IT needs and helping manage communication with our outside IT service provider.

The single most important skill for this role is communication. You must be able to take a technical finding, a data problem, or a system limitation and explain it in plain language to someone who has never looked at a line of code or a data table in their life. You will be writing, presenting, and speaking with people across the company every day, so we need someone with expert-level English, both written and verbal.

What You Will Do

• Interview stakeholders and shadow front-line teams to capture how work actually gets done, then document business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Map current and future workflows across intake, estimating, dispatch, receiving, inventory, installation, billing, and claims, and identify where manual effort, rework, or errors are costing us time and money
• Analyze how our systems talk to each other (CRM, accounting, dispatch, telematics, and other platforms), document how data moves between them, and flag data quality or reconciliation risks before they become problems
• Define reporting and dashboard requirements, and make sure everyone in the company is working from the same definition of each metric
• Write test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing, track issues to resolution, and confirm a release is actually ready before it goes live
• Produce plain-language user guides and training materials, and support the team on-site during rollouts
• Serve as a local technical point of contact for basic IT needs and help manage communication with our outside IT provider

What You Need

• You must currently live in West Palm Beach, FL or close enough to reliably commute to our office every day. This is a hard requirement, not a preference
• Expert-level written and verbal English. You will be writing documentation and communicating findings to non-technical staff and leadership constantly, and this has to be clear and professional every time
• The ability to translate technical or data-driven findings into plain language that non-technical people can act on. This matters more than almost anything else on this list
• At least 2 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a closely related technical role
• Experience with Agile delivery and enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, WMS/TMS, or field-service systems
• Comfort writing formal requirements documentation: user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and data mappings
• Working knowledge of SQL or a comparable query tool, plus above-average Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data cleanup)
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, data analytics, or a related field preferred. We will also consider a High School Diploma or GED with equivalent, directly relevant experience
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile work-management tools, and Power BI experience is a plus
• Logistics, warehousing, or white-glove delivery industry experience preferred, though not required

Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based. You will be at a computer most of the day, with occasional visits to warehouse or staging areas as part of the job. Travel up to 40% should be expected, mainly to support newly acquired markets and to help other locations with IT development work.
