Part-time Computer Science Instructor (San Pablo, CA)

Whizara delivers interactive, student-focused Computer Science programs that motivate K–12 students through hands-on, experiential learning.

We’re looking for motivated and energetic Instructors to teach in-person classes in San Pablo, CA.

The course is a mix of overall knowledge of AI, internet, cybersecurity, data science and combining these with programming to create AI assisted and AI integrated applications.

What You’ll Do

• Foster a welcoming, engaging, and supportive classroom where students feel confident exploring new ideas.
• Maintain punctuality and demonstrate professionalism, organization, and dependability during every session.
• Teach using Whizara’s ready-to-use curriculum—no lesson planning required.
• Support students as they build and code projects, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
• Track student progress, offer positive and constructive feedback, and recognize accomplishments.
• Work collaboratively with students, school staff, and parents to ensure a rewarding learning experience.
• Communicate regularly with the Whizara team by sharing updates, insights, and feedback.
• Independently manage classroom activities with enthusiasm and care.

Who We’re Looking For

• Current college students or recent graduates in STEM Education, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge with one or more programming languages and robotics kits including Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C/C++, Scratch; LEGO robotics, RaspberryPi/Arduino.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience of the K-12 age group is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills.
• Comfortable using computers and robotics equipment.
• Able to effectively engage and interact with students
• Reliable, self-motivated, and passionate about empowering young learners through STEM.
