Finance Automation Intern

Finz is a New York-based fintech building AI-native finance for businesses. We’re looking for accounting and finance students who want to use AI, data, and automation to rethink how financial work gets done.

What You’ll Do

• Work with accounting, banking, and operational financial data
• Use AI to analyze data, investigate issues, and automate finance workflows
• Improve processes across close, reconciliation, reporting, cash, AP, and AR
• Build workflows and automations that reduce repetitive manual work
• Explore how AI agents can perform financial tasks reliably
• Identify anomalies, exceptions, and areas that require human judgment
• Work with finance experts to validate accuracy, controls, and accounting treatment
• Test new AI and automation tools against real finance problems

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, FinTech, Financial Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Strong foundation in accounting, finance, and financial statements
• Comfortable working with Excel, Google Sheets, and financial data
• Hands-on interest in AI, data, and automation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and sound judgment
• Experience with SQL, Python, APIs, accounting systems, automation tools, or AI coding tools is a plus
