Client Service Associate

Client Service Associate – Seasonal, Full-Time

Kreppel Tax Advisory Group, Inc. is hiring a Client Service Associate to support the workflow of our entire tax team during the busy tax season. This is a full-time, temporary position from November through the end of April, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and the firm’s staffing needs.

You will be a key point of contact for our clients—scheduling appointments, handling calls and requests, processing documents, and keeping billing and administrative tasks moving so our CPAs and tax professionals can remain focused on client work.

What You’ll Do

Schedule, confirm, and manage client appointments for CPAs and advisors

Answer and route incoming calls and client requests promptly and professionally

Respond to routine client questions and direct tax-related matters to the appropriate team member

Follow up with clients regarding appointments, missing documents, signatures, payments, and other outstanding items

Receive, scan, upload, organize, and properly label client tax documents

Prepare and send client invoices accurately and on time

Assist with billing follow-ups and payment collection

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and communications

Track outstanding documents, pending requests, and the status of client tax returns

Help ensure that client files and requests move efficiently through each stage of the tax preparation process

Coordinate with administrative staff, tax preparers, CPAs, and advisors to support the workflow of the entire tax team

Monitor emails and voicemails and ensure timely follow-up

Protect the confidentiality of sensitive personal and financial information

Provide additional administrative and client-service support as needed during peak tax season

What We’re Looking For

Prior experience in a client-facing, customer-service, or administrative role

Experience in accounting, tax, or financial services is a plus but not required

Strong phone and email communication skills—professional, clear, and responsive

Comfortable communicating with clients throughout the day

Able to manage multiple requests and stay organized under deadline pressure

Strong attention to detail, particularly when scheduling appointments, processing documents, and preparing invoices

Reliable and available to work full-time through the end of April

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Willingness to learn tax-office procedures, workflow systems, and new software

Team-oriented and able to work effectively with administrative staff, tax preparers, CPAs, and advisors

Interest in a long-term position is a plus, as strong performers may be considered for permanent employment

Benefits and Culture

We take care of the people who take care of our clients.

Access to medical insurance for eligible full-time team members, with a manageable employee contribution

401(k) with a company match, plus profit sharing after the first year

Two weeks of paid vacation after the first year, along with paid sick days and paid holidays

Greater scheduling flexibility during the slower months after tax season

A performance-based bonus at the end of tax season that recognizes the additional effort our team contributes during our busiest period

Sponsorship of continuing education and licensing costs for team members pursuing a CPA, EA, or other relevant professional credential

Company-provided lunch at least once a week

A supportive, family-run workplace culture

Opportunities to grow and build a lasting career with an established firm

The opportunity to join a respected practice with deep roots in the local community
