Are you organized, dependable, and looking for a meaningful way to make a difference behind the scenes in healthcare? Michigan Palliative and Hospice Care is seeking an Administrative Services Volunteer to support our hospice office and care team.
Administrative volunteers play an important role in keeping day-to-day operations organized and helping our team provide responsive, compassionate service to patients and families throughout Southeast Michigan.
This opportunity is open to community members, retirees, working professionals, and students. It can be especially valuable for students interested in business, healthcare administration, public health, social work, pre-health, communications, or related fields who are looking to gain real-world experience in healthcare operations and a professional office environment.
Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan
We are especially hoping to connect with volunteers from Macomb County and surrounding communities. Administrative volunteer service is primarily completed onsite at our Farmington Hills office, with limited hybrid opportunities occasionally available depending on organizational needs.
Schedule: Flexible based on your availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with data entry, filing, document management, and general office organization
- Support scheduling and other administrative projects
- Assist with answering phones and professional communication
- Make appointment confirmation and Quality Assurance follow-up calls
- Provide additional administrative support to the hospice team as needed

Core Responsibilities for All Volunteers:
- Follow Michigan Palliative and Hospice Care policies and procedures
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, family, and organizational information and follow all applicable HIPAA privacy requirements
- Complete required orientation, training, and volunteer onboarding
- Communicate clearly and promptly with the Volunteer Coordinator
