Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Description
The Senior Lab Technician will process GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS data following instrumental analysis for drugs of abuse. The role involves reviewing analytical data, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with laboratory procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify analyzed samples and verify the accuracy of instrument sequences for each batch.
- Process acquired instrument data and generate appropriate reports.
- Conduct the first review of GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS analytical data according to assay SOPs.
- Transcribe or upload results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for final review and certification.
- Maintain accurate Chain of Custody and batch documentation.
- Communicate with supervisors and promptly escalate emerging challenges.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Ability to work safely with biological specimens, chemicals, laboratory equipment, and instruments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with biological specimens.
- Experience with analytical instruments such as GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS.
- Familiarity with laboratory data processing and documentation procedures.

- Work Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Contract: 6 months.
