Licensed School Counselor (LCSW/LMHC)

 

Compensation: $76/hour + competitive benefits

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem (School Schedule)

 

TAG MedStaffing is hiring Licensed School Counselors (LCSW/LMHC) in Brooklyn, NY to support students in school-based counseling and mental health settings for the upcoming school year. You will provide individual and group counseling, support IEP-aligned goals, and help students build the social, emotional, and behavioral skills needed to succeed in the classroom.

 

Responsibilities as the Licensed School Counselor:

  • Counseling Support: Provide individual and group counseling services to students with social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
  • Student Development: Support students with coping skills, emotional regulation, peer relationships, and classroom readiness.
  • IEP & Care Coordination: Collaborate with school teams, providers, and families to support IEP goals, intervention plans, and student progress.

 

Qualifications for the Licensed School Counselor:

  • Education: Master’s degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Licensure: Active New York State LCSW or LMHC is required.
  • Certification: New York State School Counselor certification is preferred.
