Study Hall Monitor- Current Graduate School Students

Department: Student-Athlete Support Services 

Position Type: Part Time Graduate Student Employment

 (Not a Graduate Assistantship) 

Pay: $12.50 per hour

Schedule: Evening shifts, Monday–Thursday from 4:30–8:00 p.m., with Sunday shifts available/required as assigned

Position Summary

Student-Athlete Support Services is seeking responsible, dependable graduate students to serve as Study Hall Monitors. This position helps create and maintain a structured, welcoming, and academically focused environment for student-athletes during evening and Sunday study hall hours.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Check student-athletes in and out of study hall accurately and consistently.
  • Monitor the study hall environment to ensure students remain focused, respectful, and productive.
  • Help maintain a quiet, organized, and positive academic atmosphere.
  • Provide basic support by directing students to appropriate academic resources when needed.
  • Communicate attendance concerns, behavioral issues, facility needs, or other relevant information to Student-Athlete Support Services staff.
  • Follow all departmental expectations related to confidentiality, professionalism, and student conduct.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a UNCG graduate program.
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and work independently.
  • Commitment to supporting student success and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Experience working with college students, academic support programs, or athletics is preferred but not required.

This role is well suited for graduate students interested in higher education, academic advising, student affairs, athletics, counseling, leadership, or related fields.
