About Ronini
Ronini is a premium baby feeding brand launching in the US this fall. Borosilicate glass with silicone molded straight onto it, and a subscription that ships replacement nipples instead of whole bottles — the product does something the category hasn't done before. The design won a Red Dot and an iF award this year. Our last reel did 900,000 views in ten days and brought in 4,000 followers, so the audience is here; now everything we put in front of it has to look as good as the product. That's this role.
What you'll do
- Design static Instagram posts every week — carousels, covers, single statics — from written briefs to finished files, 3 to 4 a week
- Illustrate. Our best-performing organic post is an illustrated story carousel; the illustration system is yours to extend — characters, scenes, spot illustrations, the world around the product
- Ads: statics for Meta and Amazon, cutdowns of winning organic posts
- Posters, one-pagers, inserts, event and retail collateral, decks when needed
- Packaging and print work as it comes up — box updates, inserts, new SKUs
- Keep templates and the asset library clean so everything ships on-system
What good looks like here
- Big type, lots of air. Covers read at thumbnail size with under twelve words. One idea per frame.
- The product is the hero. Premium and calm, never cute-baby-aisle: no stock parenting clichés, no clip-art hearts, no pastel mush.
- You're tapped in. You know what's working on Instagram this month and what already looks dated.
- You care about the first slide more than the tenth. Most viewers never swipe.
Requirements
- Strong illustrator with your own hand — a clean editorial style, characters and scenes with warmth and restraint. We'll ask for it in the first round.
- Strong typography and composition; a portfolio of social work for a consumer brand where the feed is the brand
- Figma and Adobe fluency (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Comfortable designing to a fixed system (Parkinsans + Onest, five brand colors) and making it feel alive rather than templated
- Fast. Two-day turnaround on a standard post, clean iteration on feedback
- AI-literate as an accelerator, never as the finished artwork
Big plus
- Packaging and print production — dielines, print specs, working with a printer
- Experience in premium DTC, beauty, or design-led consumer goods
- Paid-social statics that converted
- Chinese language (part of our production team is in China)
What you get
- A feed with a real audience — your work lands in front of hundreds of thousands of parents, not a mockup
- Direct work with the founders. Briefs come with clear intent, decisions get made in the room, and you get room to push back
- A locked brand system, an award-winning product, and an illustration world with no owner yet — that part is yours
- Long-term: this is a seat, not a project. Contract to start, full-time as we grow
- Tooling licensed: Figma, Adobe CC, AI tools
To apply
Send three social pieces and three illustrations you're proudest of, one line each on what they were for and how they performed, your rate, and your availability from October. Illustration must be your own work.
