New Pig is currently seeking an Instructional Designer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions that build technical knowledge, product expertise, and job performance across the organization. This role partners with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to transform complex technical information into engaging, effective learning experiences that support employee development and business objectives. This position requires a positive and detail-oriented individual who is focused on continual learning and development. 

 

Position located at our Duncansville, PA location. Shift is 8:00 – 4:30pm. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs, analyze performance gaps, and recommend training solutions.
  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, video-based, and blended learning programs.
  • Create learning objectives, assessments, job aids, reference materials, and other instructional resources.
  • Translate complex technical, scientific, product, and regulatory information into clear, practical learning content.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training accuracy and relevance.
  • Manage multiple learning projects from analysis through implementation.
  • Utilize learning technologies and authoring tools to develop and deploy training programs.
  • Measure training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and update existing training materials to reflect business, product, and regulatory changes.
  • Evaluate and maintain existing product training content
  • Participate in new product development to prepare for new product launches and course creation
  • Research and implement new technologies into instruction
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Experience developing technical, product, or process-based training.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools, multimedia development, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of instructional design models and learning theory
  • Clear and effective course and curriculum planning skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe design tools
  • Videography and editing experience preferred
  • Concrete verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to continually multitask in an efficient manner
  • Previous project management experience preferred
