Grants and Sponsorship Intern
Position Summary: The Grants and Sponsorship Intern will provide valuable support to the Grants and Sponsorship department within our organization. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fields of grant management and corporate sponsorship. The intern will assist in various tasks related to researching funding opportunities, proposal development, donor stewardship, and sponsorship coordination.
Responsibilities:
Research and Prospect Identification:
- Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Compile and maintain a comprehensive database of potential funders, including their requirements, deadlines, and funding priorities.
- Assist in analyzing eligibility criteria and aligning funding opportunities with the organization's mission and programs.
Proposal Development and Grant Writing:
- Assist in drafting and editing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other related documents.
- Work collaboratively with team members to gather relevant information and data for proposal development.
- Ensure proposals are submitted in a timely manner, adhering to guidelines and requirements.
Sponsorship Coordination:
- Assist in coordinating sponsorship activities, including prospect research, outreach, and relationship management.
- Collaborate with team members to develop sponsorship packages, proposals, and benefits.
Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the Grants and Sponsorship department, such as meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing files and documentation.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the organization's donor database.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other materials as needed.
