Systems Engineering and Calibration Internship

Systems Engineering Internship - Calibration

We believe that the current AI revolution requires better lab tools. As such, we’re developing a next-generation scientific instrument designed to move small liquid volumes with unprecedented precision and reliability. The goal is to enable faster, cheaper, and more automated experimentation across genomics, drug discovery, and high-throughput screening. The work spans advanced hardware, control systems, and data intelligence to push beyond the limitations of legacy platforms.

About the Role

You will own the calibration functionality of the instrument. You’ll validate performance and develop models that support calibration, speed, and automation. We are flexible towards timeline and hours committed.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and test calibration routines for the instrument
  • Validate performance of key instrument parameters.
  • Build and/or evaluate ML or deep‑learning models.
  • Work closely with systems and hardware engineers.
  • Implement algorithms in Python with clean, testable code.
  • Prototype quickly, validate rigorously.

Who You Are

• Strong Python engineer with NumPy/SciPy and some PyTorch/TensorFlow.

• Experience with data analysis.

• Comfortable with raw experimental data and ML abstractions.

• Clear thinker who prefers transparent math.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with sensor data, acoustics, RF, or instrumentation.
  • Experience with signal processing
  • Experience deploying models in constrained systems.
