Position Overview
We are seeking a creative, community-minded Communications & Marketing Specialist to join our team in sharing our stories, growing enrollment, and engaging our families, donors, and community. In this role, you will manage our digital presence, create compelling multi-media content, and build awareness of intergenerational care.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital & Social Media Management: Develop a strategy to maintain and grow our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and keep our website updated with current events, enrollment information, and news.
- Storytelling & Content Creation: Work with staff to capture daily moments, stories, and milestones that highlight our intergenerational activities for newsletters, social media, and marketing materials.
- Community Outreach & Faith Engagement: Build relationships with local referring agencies, care centers, senior networks, and family groups to promote program enrollment and volunteer involvement.
- Marketing & Enrollment Support: Develop promotional materials, flyers, and digital ads to support recruitment for both our early childhood and senior care programs.
- Internal Communications: Produce a monthly newsletter for current families, caregivers, and other stakeholders to keep the community informed and connected.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or social media management (nonprofit, healthcare, or education experience is a plus).
- Skills: Strong written and visual storytelling skills, social media familiarity, basic graphic design ability, and familiarity with website content management.
- Interpersonal Savvy: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact warmly with seniors, family members, and community leaders.
- Flexibility: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt schedules for key events as needed.
Benefits & Schedule
- Hours: Flexible part-time schedule (15–20 hours per week), Monday – Friday. A hybrid schedule may be possible.
- Compensation: $18 – $20 per hour, depending on experience.
