Position Summary

The Instrumentation Intern will support key initiatives within the department while gaining hands-on experience in a professional corporate environment. This internship provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real business challenges, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop valuable career skills.

Internship Project

The intern will work on a structured project designed to:

  • Address a meaningful business need
  • Deliver measurable outcomes
  • Be completed within the internship timeframe
  • Provide exposure to cross-functional collaboration
  • Result in a final presentation and/or deliverable

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical issues identified during manufacturing, testing, and field use.
  • Assemble and evaluate mechanical prototypes.
  • Participate in team meetings and project discussions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners as needed
  • Present project findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in: 
    • Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum GPA requirement: 3.0
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuits.

Preferred

  • Experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks
  • Understanding engineering drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T fundamentals.
  • Previous internship or leadership experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
