As a Total Rewards Intern, you'll work alongside experienced HR professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, analyze data, and develop practical business skills that will help prepare you for a career in Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, or HR Analytics.

This internship includes a capstone project that allows you to apply your knowledge to a real business challenge while creating a lasting impact on the organization.

Housing Information: Local campus housing is provided for interns selecting Thief River Falls as their internship home base. Housing includes a private bedroom, private bathroom, and shared living space.

What You'll Do

• Support Total Rewards and Human Resources initiatives through research, data analysis, validation, and project support
• Assist with maintaining compensation and rewards documentation and information
• Create reports, presentations, and recommendations that support HR and business decision-making
• Partner with Total Rewards and HR team members on department initiatives and special projects
• Participate in ongoing compensation and rewards activities while gaining exposure to broader HR functions
• Complete a capstone project designed to address a real business need

Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:
  • Human Resources
  • Business Administration
  • Finance
  • Data Analytics
  • Industrial/Organizational Psychology
  • Or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365 applications
• Curiosity, initiative, and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively while managing independent assignments

Compensation

Pay is based on academic level and relevant experience.

Undergraduate Students: $21.00 - $23.00/hour

Graduate Students:

• Master's Degree: $26.00/hour
• PhD Program: $29.00/hour
