Production Graphic Designer & Print Specialist

GraphicLab is seeking a sharp, agile Production Graphic Designer to join our tight-knit team, managing everything from client mockups to hands-on print production.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare production-ready art files using vendor templates for screen printing, embroidery, Direct-to-Film (DTF), and promotional hard goods.


Build digital art comps for production, client mockups for line sheet pitches, and full product catalogs in Adobe InDesign.


Format, rename, organize, and archive high volumes of image assets for catalog and e-commerce website listings.


Assist with operating our DTF printer and cutting transfer films for production (full on-the-job training provided).


Pivot seamlessly between file preparation, design tasks, and physical print room support as daily shop priorities shift.


Required Qualifications

Software Mastery: Fluent in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Working Style: Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and independent. You manage time tightly to hit firm production deadlines with minimal supervision.

Communication: Comfortable with direct, short, and laconic communication in a fast-moving, small-team environment.


Bonus Points

Experience with custom t-shirt graphic design.

Knowledge of color separations for screen printing.

Experience with embroidery digitizing.

Familiarity with traditional paper and offset print setups.

Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with file setup requirements for screen printing, embroidery, DTF, and hard goods vendor guidelines.

The office is in El Cajon, CA so only considering candidates that live in the San Diego area or are relocating to San Diego and can do an in person interview.
