Resident Service Coordinator

Resident Service Coordinator

CHR Partners is seeking a compassionate, organized, and community-minded Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) to join our team. The Resident Service Coordinator works directly at an affordable housing community to connect residents with resources, create meaningful programs and events, and help build a strong sense of community.

This is a hands-on, resident-facing position for someone who enjoys working with people, planning activities, building relationships, and making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families.

What You’ll Do

Resident Engagement & Support

  • Build positive, professional relationships with residents of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Identify resident needs and connect individuals and families with appropriate community resources and services.
  • Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for residents.
  • Conduct resident outreach through conversations, phone calls, flyers, door-to-door outreach, and other engagement strategies.
  • Encourage residents to participate in programs, activities, and available services.

Programs & Events

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate monthly resident activities, educational programs, and community events.
  • Develop activities for children, teens, adults, and seniors based on the needs and interests of the community.
  • Coordinate with property management and community partners to plan successful events.
  • Promote programs through flyers, calendars, social media, resident communication, and personal outreach.
  • Assist with community-wide events and special initiatives.

Community Resources & Partnerships

  • Develop relationships with local nonprofits, schools, businesses, social service organizations, and other community partners.
  • Research and maintain knowledge of available community resources.
  • Invite community organizations and service providers to participate in resident programs and resource events.
  • Help residents access resources related to education, employment, food assistance, health and wellness, financial literacy, and other areas of need.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate resident participation, program, and service documentation.
  • Complete required reports, attendance tracking, and program metrics.
  • Maintain an organized community resource area and activity supplies.
  • Communicate regularly with property management and CHR Partners leadership.
  • Manage a monthly activity calendar and ensure programs are properly prepared and promoted.
  • Follow all CHR Partners policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain a professional presence and represent CHR Partners positively within the community.

  • Is comfortable using technology, email, Google Workspace, and basic computer programs.
  • Can work with residents from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences with professionalism and empathy.
  • Is creative and willing to take initiative when developing new programs and activities.
  • Is comfortable communicating with property management, community partners, and residents.
  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in resident services, social services, community outreach, education, nonprofit work, property management, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with children, families, seniors, or diverse communities is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass required background checks.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of standard business hours for resident events and special programs.
