About Navera

Navera provides person-centered, non-medical Supported Living Services to adults with developmental disabilities. Our work is built around independence, dignity, choice, safety, self-determination, and meaningful participation in everyday community life.

The Role

As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one-on-one with individuals in their own homes and in the community. You will help each person move toward the goals that matter to them while respecting their preferences, routines, communication style, rights, and independence. This is not about taking over someone’s life—it is about providing the right support so the person can direct as much of their own life as possible.

What You’ll Do

• Provide individualized support based on each person’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) and Navera support plan.

• Support daily living activities as authorized, including routines, appointments, community activities, and other individualized needs.

• Encourage independence, skill development, self-advocacy, informed choice, and community participation.

• Monitor health, safety, and well-being and promptly communicate changes or concerns.

• Follow individualized health, safety, personal care, authorized medication assistance/support, and emergency procedures when trained and authorized.

• Complete accurate and timely service documentation in Therap, including progress toward goals and significant observations.

• Complete required EVV and service-time documentation when applicable.

• Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and respect for individual rights.

• Report incidents, suspected abuse or neglect, and other concerns according to Navera policy and applicable reporting requirements.

• Participate in required orientation, training, supervision, coaching, and ongoing professional development.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for dependable, respectful people who can build trust, communicate clearly, and support adults without taking away their voice or independence. Previous DSP or disability-services experience is helpful, but the right attitude, reliability, judgment, and willingness to learn matter.

• At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Able to successfully complete required background clearances.

• Reliable transportation when required for the assignment.

• Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record when driving is part of the job; drivers must comply with Navera’s driver and insurance requirements.

• Able to complete required orientation and training before performing applicable duties independently.

• Comfortable working independently in individual homes and community settings while staying connected to Navera supervision and support.

• Able to perform the essential functions of the assigned position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements vary by assignment and may include standing, walking, bending, assisting with mobility, or other individualized support tasks.

What Navera Offers

• $18.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, training, competency, and assigned responsibilities.

• Paid required onboarding and training.

• Reimbursement for approved work-related mileage in accordance with Navera policy.

• Flexible scheduling opportunities, including full-time, part-time, on-call, evening, weekend, and other assignment-based schedules.

• Ongoing training, supervision, coaching, and opportunities to grow into greater responsibility as Navera expands.

• As an early member of Navera’s team, you will have the opportunity to help shape a growing SLS program built around strong relationships, thoughtful support, and high standards of service and accountability.

• Meaningful one-on-one work focused on helping people build independence and live the lives they choose.

Training & Readiness

Navera provides paid required training. New DSPs complete agency-wide orientation and assignment-specific training before working independently where required. Additional required training is provided and paid as applicable to the employee’s duties and assignment.

Work Environment

Services are provided primarily in individual homes and community settings. Depending on the assignment, schedules may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or overnight shifts. Some assignments may involve driving, community outings, transportation or support to appointments, personal-care support, mobility assistance, or emergency response within the employee’s training and authorization.
