Location: Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York (Hybrid)

About the Role: As one of the most iconic locations in NYC, the marketing intern will work closely with the interim Director of Marketing and Events. The Marketing and Events Internship program is designed to provide hands-on experience to current students with an opportunity to learn basic marketing and public relations skills, including branding, promotion, and sponsorships.
What you'll do:
● Update and manage BID website and social media platforms.
● Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, email newsletters, and digital advertising.
● Monitoring and assisting with the organization's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) by drafting and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and adjusting outreach tactics as needed.
● Help organize and coordinate events, including event set up/ take down, registration, and vendor communication.
● Conduct outreach to local businesses, gather contact information.
● Assist the team with administrative tasks related to outreach, marketing & events.
About you:
● Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
● Strong interest in event planning, marketing, and social media.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mailchimp) and familiarity with photography and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
● Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
● Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Positive attitude, proactive approach, and a willingness to learn.
