About Jarret Yoshida, Inc.

Jarret Yoshida, Inc. is a Brooklyn-based interior design studio crafting residential and commercial spaces for high-end clients across New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Hawaii, and internationally. The studio's mission is to translate client aesthetics using imagination, innovation, and originality to create moving environments.

Internships here are active learning experiences. Rather than sorting fabric samples or completing isolated drafting tasks, interns participate directly in the design process from concept through final execution. The studio prioritizes creative collaboration, open communication, self-awareness of personal strengths, and maintaining a respectful, inclusive environment with zero tolerance for harassment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design & Drafting: Produce floor plans, elevations, renderings, space planning layouts, and client presentation decks.
  • Vendor & Project Logistics: Request vendor quotes, process contractor orders, manage budget tracking, monitor shipping/delivery schedules, and assist with installation logistics.
  • Sourcing & Trend Research: Shop for fabrics, furniture, and fixtures at the D&D Building and NYDC; utilize designated museum time to research trends influencing design concepts.
  • On-Site Operations & Styling: Perform site measuring, take progress photos/notes, assist during client installation dates, and help style photoshoot preps alongside Jarret.
  • Studio Operations & Workflow: Complete general studio administrative tasks and client meeting preps. Maintain daily communication via email (checked at start, mid-day, and end-of-day) and Zoom, while keeping project files organized in Google Drive.
